Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How long is a typical session?
Your first intake session is approximately 90 minutes, while regular sessions are typically 60 minutes.
How long will I be in counseling?
The length of counseling depends on your needs and goals. Many clients begin with weekly sessions and reduce frequency over time. Some clients come with specific concerns that can be resolved in a short series of sessions, while others choose ongoing counseling as a longer process of personal growth.
What if I want couples counseling, but my partner won’t come?
Even if your partner is not ready to participate, counseling can still be effective. Many relationship concerns can be addressed and improved with just one person engaged in therapy.
Do you take insurance?
We do not currently accept insurance. However, we offer a sliding scale option to help make counseling more affordable.
Do you provide virtual sessions?
Yes. We offer both in-person sessions at our St. Louis office and secure online virtual therapy sessions for your convenience.
How can I get started?
